Thirty eight years ago was the first time I got to drive on Emerald Isle's Beaches. There was nothing at the point then but surf, sand, and my dream to live in the area some day.

Today I'm not only living just a few miles from Emerald Isle in Bluewater Cove on the White Oak River, and I enjoy writing about North Carolina's Coastal Paradise. I spent nearly three years looking for our own place which makes it a little easier to answer questions on the area.

Working ends up not being a chore because the surroundings are so pleasant. I spent a lot of my life doing a Fortune 500 job in an area where high stress ruled the streets.

It is really nice to have made a change to something I want to do in an area where I have always wanted to live

Maybe my real job is writing about the Crystal Coast
Since leaving my corporate career at Apple, more than anything else I have written about places and things that I love.

It is nice to have found a career where photography, writing, and web design can contribute to my success.

Most of all I enjoy talking about the Southern Outer Banks.

The Crystal Coast is a wonderful area. If you aren't convinced after a visit or from all my pictures and articles, you may not be ready to learn how to relax.

There are plenty of ways to unwind here. You can go walking on the beach, kayaking on one the rivers or inlets, rest by a crystal clear pool, to enjoyi a boat ride down Bogue Sound.

Lot of other activities are at your doorstep here on the coast. They range from hiking the area's great trails, enjoying biking on our almost hill free terrain , to swimming, fishing, hunting, enjoying putt-putt, or having a serious round of golf.
