Roanoke Valley from our deck slideshow...

Fog in the Valley

This picture is one of the over 15,000 pictures that I have taken from our deck overlooking the Roanoke Valley. Our house sits at about 1,500 feet above the valley. We have a wonderful view of downtown Roanoke, the Roanoke Star, the Peaks of Otter, Tinker Mountain, and much of Salem.

Because of our location, we get wonderful sunrises, but we are out of luck when it comes to sunsets. I often capture few sunsets from places ranging from the main cemetery in Salem to the observation platform at the Roanoke Star by Mill Mountain Zoo.

I am rarely without a camera so I also have favorite images of many of the places that I visit.

A selection of my prints are available for viewing at Original Frameworks, 1118 Brandon Ave. SW, Roanoke, VA 24015 (540) 375-2743. Original Frameworks has some of my prints available framed, and they are priced as marked by Original Frameworks. They will also be glad to work with you on getting any of my prints framed.

I have many of my larger prints available for viewing at our home and would be glad to arrange for a viewing.

I can be contacted by phone at 540 772-4675 or by email.

Information on the prints for sale

Late in 2004, I purchased an Epson 4000 printer to go along with the Epson 2200 that was my work horse printer for a couple of years. In addition I also purchased Image Print software to go with the Epson 4000 and my dual G5 processor Macintosh.

This allows me to produce high quality, large scale prints suitable for home and offices.

Pricing

Prints approximately 4X6 are $15

Prints taking a full letter size sheet are $25

Prints approximately 10X16 are $50

Prints approximately 16X32 are $100

Paper

My default paper is Epson Enhanced Matte which was formerly called Archival Matte Paper.

Tints

Tints sometimes vary when moving to larger prints. I will work to get a satisfactory tint, and there is no obligation to take a print that doesn’t meet your needs

Inks

I use Epson Ultrachrome Inks which are known for their quality and durability.

Cameras

I have used a variety of camera to take my pictures. The vast majority were taken with Nikon digital cameras ranging from my original CoolPix 950 to Nikon 5400, 5700, and 8700 models. My current camera is a Nikon D50 SLR. There are a few images from a small Sony DSC T-33 5 megapixel digital camera that I often carry in my pocket. The 8700 actually provides images up to 8 megapixels.

Special Printing Requests

If you hav e a special image and it is at least 5 megapixels, I will be glad to work with you to produce a print which will enhance the walls of your home with your own photography.

The basic charge for this is $100 which guarantees you one 10x16 print.
